This course is the continuation of Backpack Filmmaker Bootcamp: The Self-Sufficient Documentary Shooter where participants were introduced to solo filmmaking basics. Over a period of eight weeks, each participant will individually pre-produce, shoot, edit and screen an early fine cut of a two to three minute documentary short. The course consists of six classroom sessions (two of which cover basic editing) separated by one or two week field work intervals during which participants will create their films. Basic post-production instruction will cover ingestion, logging, and rough cut assembly using Adobe Premiere. All participants are expected to have their own camera equipment.
This workshop is aimed at those who desire to further increase their solo, documentary filmmaking skills while building their filmmaking portfolio.
Due to the intensive nature of this course, class size will be limited to 8 students.
